The Pakistan Army has announced online registration for Armed Forces Nursing Services (AFNS) Jobs 2023 through their official website, https://www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk/. Female candidates from all over Pakistan who are interested in joining AFNS may apply online. The online registration period will be from 29th May to 30th June 2023. Applicants must have completed their intermediate education (F.Sc pre-medical).

For AFNS, candidates who are appearing in the F.Sc Part-II examination and have obtained 50% marks in the 1st year can apply with a hope certificate duly signed by the principal of their college/institution, indicating the expected 50% marks. Once the F.Sc Part-II result is declared, candidates should immediately submit their F.Sc marks sheet.

For Trained Nurses, candidates applying should be enrolled with the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC). Preference will be given to qualified individuals who have completed post basic specialized courses such as ICU, OT, CCU, etc. from a hospital/institute recognized by the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).

Armed Forces Nursing Services (AFNS):

• Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir/Gilgit Baltistan. Those with dual nationality will have to surrender nationalities other than Pakistani upon final selection.
• Education: Matric with Science (60% Marks) + F.Sc (Pre-medical) (50% Marks)
• Age Limit: 17-25 years (as of 31st December 2023)
• Gender: Female
• Marital Status: Unmarried/widow/separated/divorcee without encumbrances
• Height: 5 ft (152.4 cm)

Trained Nurses as Lieutenant:

• Domicile: Only domicile holders from Balochistan, KPK, and Gilgit
• Education: B.Sc Generic Nursing Only (No diploma holder candidate is eligible)
• Age Limit: 18-28 years (as of 31st December 2023)
• Gender: Female
• Marital Status: Married/unmarried
• Height: 5 ft (152.4 cm)

How to Register Online for AFNS Jobs 2023?

Interested candidates should register online at the official website of the Pakistan Army, www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk.

The date and time of the test will be communicated to candidates via email. Once a date is given, it will not be changed. Candidates should bring along the required documents (mentioned in the advertisement) and pay the prospectus fee on the day of the test. Candidates must have a working knowledge of computers. Online registration is open from 28th May to 30th June 2023.

Selection Procedure:

Preliminary Tests:

• It includes written/intelligence/personality tests.
• Check the official website for the exam slip.
• The exact date of the exam will be printed on your exam slip/roll number slip.

Preliminary Selection:

• The candidates will undergo an initial medical test at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs).

Further Selection Procedure:

• Successful candidates will be interviewed by the General Headquarters (GHQ) selection board. The interviews will be held in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi, and separate call-up letters will be issued.
• Successful candidates will receive call-up notices for the interview.
• The final selection will be made at GHQ based on the candidate’s overall performance.

Documents Required at AS&RCs:

• Candidates must submit the following documents at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs):
• Original certificates/documents/detailed marks sheet along with two attested photocopies of each educational certificate/degree.
• Candidates serving in government institutions must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned establishment.
• Attested photocopy of domicile.
• Photocopies of computerized National Identity Card.
• Three colored photos duly attested (front & back).
• Crossed postal order of Rs.100/- in favor of Director General Personnel Administration (DGPA), General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi.

Training Period:

• BSc Nursing: 4 years of training at AFGMI Rawalpindi, CMH Lahore, CMH Kharian, CMH Multan, CMH Quetta, PNS Shifa Karachi.
• Trained Nurses: 6 weeks of basic military training at AFPGMI Rawalpindi and CMH Kharian. Note: On completion of successful training, candidates will be granted a commission in the rank of Lieutenant.

Bond:

• Finally selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve the Army for a minimum period of ten years of BSc Nursing before the commencement of training.
